What if networking wasn’t about collecting contacts, but about creating meaningful encounters?
That was exactly the spirit of this year’s inno.x SUMMERCAMP 2025. Together with Klaus Weissmann, I had the joy of co-facilitating formats designed to go far beyond exchanging business cards – opening space for genuine high quality connections.
We discovered that networking is about giving and receiving. It happens when we meet others with curiosity and courage, and when we allow ourselves to be surprised by what emerges.
One of the most powerful moments was the experience of generalized reciprocity – the idea of offering support without expecting anything in return, simply trusting that at some point, in some way, it will come back. When participants brought this mindset into practice, the room was filled with energy: joy in helping each other, creative ideas flowing, and conversations that instantly gained depth.
My personal highlight: the many inspiring encounters that proved networking can be so much more than collecting contacts – it can truly connect, inspire, and create lasting impact.
